Leo Kottke Jacksonville Concert reviews
Disappointed
Here is the rearranged version of the review with a few words switched:
"As many other reviews I've read have said, my wife and I do enjoy Parks and Rec, but we were both aware that we were going to see Ron Swanson, not Leo Kottke. The band from the opening act with his wife were talented musicians, but we were thoroughly confused as to what the comedy show had to do with the act. Leo, himself, occasionally seemed to ramble on and on, and make a joke or comment that elicited a few laughs out of me. It was long-winded, unfocused, and only very occasionally got me laughing, as others laughed more frequently. Not once did I see the entire audience nearly falling out of their seats with tears in their eyes, but I put it like this to friends who asked how the show went: "He seems like a great guy, and someone I'd love to chill and have a beer with. But I wouldn't pay to see one of my friends who occasionally makes a funny comment in a stand-up show." Comedians I've seen and enjoyed include: Ron White, Jo Koy, Steven Lynch, Jim Gaffigan, Louis C.K., and wish I could have seen George Carlin live. If my tastes don't jive with yours, give Leo Kottke a shot. We left after an hour+, but not everyone did."
